The Good Dog Blog will be awarding a weekly “Good Dog Award” to those doing good things for dogs.
This week’s award goes to Second Chance Dog Rescue, a humane non-profit dedicated to helping neglected and homeless dogs in the Baton Rouge area of Louisiana. They not only take in dogs without homes, but also focus on rescuing dogs from local shelters. All dogs taken in by Second Chance are given thorough veterinary treatment to ensure they’re happy, healthy, and ready for a new home.
Second Chance Dog Rescue is currently celebrating “Adopt A Senior Month”, and has a full list of dogs up for adoption on their website.
Check out their website and Facebook page for event times and adoption details, as well as donation and volunteer information.
Congratulations to Good Dog Award winner Second Chance Dog Rescue!
